Testing laboratory “Stewart Assay and Environmental Laboratories” LLC is an independent analytical laboratory with more than 25 years of experience in the geochemical services market. The company was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic in 1996. The official opening of the laboratory was in August 1997.

The main activity of the Company's laboratory is technical testing, which includes sample preparation, geochemical analysis, analysis of environmental samples and metallurgical testing.

Over 26 years of successful operation, the Company’s laboratory has earned a good reputation among its customers. The Company's laboratory is equipped with modern equipment, such as atomic emission spectrometers with inductively coupled plasma ICP-AES Optima 5300DV from Perkin Elmer, ICP-AES Agilent 5110 from Agilent Technologies for simultaneous multi-element analysis of metals in all types of samples, mass spectrometers and ICP-MS ELAN DRC-e from PerkinElmer, ICP-MS Agilent 7800 from Agilent Technologies for the analysis of trace metal contents in all types of samples, atomic absorption spectrometers Analyst 400 from Perkin Elmer, Agilent 240AA from Agilent Technologies for the analysis of metals in all types of samples, Leco analyzers DL144, ion chromatograph Dionex ICS-1000, spectrophotometers from Camspec, Hach for the analysis of various elements and ions in environmental samples, as well as various laboratory electronic balances and other necessary equipment.

The laboratory has its own Laboratory Information Management System LIMS. The laboratory information system covers almost all business processes of the laboratory. LIMS includes: order management system; sample management system; control system for laboratory equipment, spectrometers; sample preparation quality control system; system for monitoring the measurement process on spectrometers; a system for conducting quality control procedures for measurement results; sample storage system. The laboratory information system also provides Web services that allow clients to access their data via the Internet and integrate their information systems with the laboratory information environment.

High quality analyzes are achieved through systematic quality control using both internationally recognized certified reference materials and in-house control samples. In addition, the laboratory, among 130 laboratories from around the world, participates twice a year in interlaboratory comparisons organized by the Australian company Geostats, in professional testing programs conducted by such companies as LGC Standard, CANMET, Rocklabs, the Central Laboratory of the State Committee for Geology, etc.

The laboratory has:

- Accreditation of the Kyrgyz Center of Accreditation (KCA) for compliance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (GOST ISO/IEC 17025:2019);

- UKAS accreditation (United Kingdom Accreditation Service, Great Britain) for compliance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

Since many gold deposits in Kyrgyzstan, such as Kumtor, Taldy-Bulak Levoberezhny, Terek-Sai, Dolpran and others, are refractory, our laboratory is ready to provide services using BIOX bioleaching technology. The laboratory has a pilot BIOX unit, sourced from South Africa, to carry out such tests.

To strengthen the Company’s position in the highly competitive services market and to attract foreign investment, a joint venture “Alfred H Knight Kyrgyzstan” LLC with the British company Alfred H Knight was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic on April 23, 2021. Alfred H Knight Kyrgyzstan LLC began its activities with the construction in Kara-Balta of a commercial laboratory for the analysis of concentrates, Doré gold, refined gold, metals and their alloys. At the initial stage, it is planned to establish these analyzes on the basis of “Stewart Assay and Environmental Laboratories” LLC.
