Kumtor Gold Company

The Kumtor mine is one of the largest gold mines in Central Asia and is the largest gold mining enterprise in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The mine has been producing gold since 1997 and, as of June 30, 2022, has produced more than 13.8 million ounces of gold. The mine is located at an altitude of 13,000 feet and is the second highest in the world, second only to Yanacocha in Peru.

Kumtor Gold Company is the operator of the Kumtor project and is responsible for the entire production cycle and provides jobs for more than 4,000 people.

Kumtor Gold Company was created thanks to foreign investments and today Kumtor's products account for more than a third of the national exports of goods.
