Adrian Petreanu

Adrian Petreanu is a Portfolio Manager at Ashmore and part of the Corporate Debt investment committee. Adrian has joined Ashmore at the beginning of 2013 and prior to joining Ashmore, Adrian worked for 3 years at UBS Investment Bank as Head of Emerging Markets Special Situations (EMEA region), focusing on high yield corporate credit and distressed debt investing. Prior to joining UBS, Adrian spent 13 years working for Cargill part of its financial markets trading group. He started there in 1997 as an Emerging Markets local currency government bonds trader before becoming Managing Director and co-fund manager of the EMEA Emerging Market Debt Fund of Black River, the asset management company owned by Cargill. Adrian holds an MBA from Said Business School ,Oxford University, an International Masters in Finance from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus and a joint BA in Economics and Law from The Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
